Rug Care
The
rugs that we produce are made to stand the test
of time. We would like for our customers to
cherish using our rugs without worrying too much
about the upkeep. We would advise you to vacuum
the rug frequently and deal with spillages and
dirt promptly. We recommend getting the rug
washed at least once every 2-3 years.
"Soiling" is a build-up of soil particles and
oily materials that cling to the rug and carpet
fibers and dull their natural sheen. In time,
foot traffic drives the soil particles deep into
the carpet. When this condition cannot be
corrected with vacuuming, it's time for carpet
cleaning by a trained professional.
In case of a food/drink spill on a rug, the
problem is much more easily handled if the spot
is treated promptly, before the spill is allowed
to dry. Blot up as much liquid as possible with
paper towels or a clean, white cloth. Try to
rinse out as much of the spill as possible.
It is worth mentioning that rugs containing silk
may have some fiber strands popping out after
vacuuming. This is a natural characteristic of
the texture. It does not indicate any damage
being done to the rug. We recommend just
snipping the loose strands with a pair of
scissors instead of pulling them out of the rug.
