Hand-knotted rugs are an art form. Like any other art form, a rug is the expression of the designer's vision, where the warp and the weft of the rug form the canvas for the expression. Each hand-knotted rug is unique and imbued with the distinct character that the weaver imparts to it. From the spinning of the wool to weaving and then finally clipping and washing, each rug is the culmination of the crafts of various artisans.

Rugs by Rohit is a boutique manufacturing and export firm immersed in the art of rug making for the past 35 years. Based in Jaipur and working out of a 250 year-old historical building, we have managed to preserve the age-old traditional practices of weaving rugs. All of our designs and color palettes are original creations and are copyrighted in India and the United States. Our design team works diligently under the tutelage of our principal designer to create these designs and color palettes. The 700-odd weavers employed by the firm have a minimum of 5-7 years of rug weaving experience and work under the guidance of master weavers who have been a part of the evolution of rug weaving, in the past few decades.
